Mayor Miedtke <br /> commented on the advantages of an annual calendar of events such as that sent <br /> out to residents of Duluth. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Stauffer that the next newsletter <br /> be prepared early in September and the Manager be directed to present to the <br /> Council by budget consideration time the estimated costs of producing a bi- <br /> monthly newsletter. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Dulgar told the Council that all reports he had received on the Community <br /> Youth Representative had been affirmative and recommended that the program be <br /> funded for the remainder of this year. There was some discussion of the youth <br /> representative, Hans Selvog's identification with the Young Life program. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to extend the funding <br /> of the Community Youth Representative Program b y $400;00 with the amount to be <br /> taken from the Council's Contingency Fund and to direct the Manager to include <br /> the subject of Selvog's salary in the budget discussions for next year. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve the signing <br /> of the agreements with Ramsey County for signalization of the intersections of <br /> • Silver Lake Road at Silver Lane and 39th Avenue N.E. subject to the approval of <br /> the City Attorney. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Sundland reported the possibility of the construction of a high density <br /> structure to house the handicapped just north of Dr. Carr's office. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve the Land <br /> Surveyor's Certificate of Correction to Plat for St. Anthony Office Park. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Dulgar told that he expected to receive the Change Order from the Lamppa Co. <br /> for the Water Improvement Project which would enable the construction to go ahead <br /> within the next two weeks. <br /> He also said the report on the soil borings authorized by the Council for 29th <br /> Avenue N.F. should be available for the July 23 meeting. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Stauffer that $5,000 be set <br /> aside from the Revenue Sharing Funds to pay the cost of completing the Walkway <br /> System along Silver Lake Road from 37th Avenue N.E. to Silver Lane as soon as the <br /> upgrading of Silver Lake Road is accomplished. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
