-2- <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt <br /> Resolution #75-017. <br /> • RESOLUTION 75-017 <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING MINNEAPOLIS TAX <br /> STUDY AND PROVIDING FOR FURTHER <br /> INVESTIGATION OF FACTS AND CONTINGENCIES <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> It was the recommendation of the Manager and Police Chief that, because of the <br /> excess use for parking by the high school students of the south side of 33rd <br /> Avenue N.F. in front of the St. Anthony High School, parking should be restricted <br /> to some degree on that street. However, Councilman Stauffer pointed out that <br /> since parking on the turn-around in front of the school was prohibited and the <br /> parking lots were usually full, there was no place for short term visitors to the <br /> school to park. <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to restrict parking <br /> on the south side of 33rd Avenue N.F. from Silver Lake Road to Rankin Road to <br /> "One Hour parking from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. weekdays". <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> There as a discussion of the League of Minnesota Municipalities request for <br /> nominations for the C.C. Ludwig Award for distinguished municipal service but <br /> no action was taken. <br /> • Following the recommendations from the City Manager that the Council should <br /> indicate its support of the legislation being put into bill form by Rep. Howard <br /> Neisen of Moundsview regarding proposed amendments to the Open Meeting Law, the <br /> following motion was made: <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt Resolution <br /> #75-oi8• <br /> RESOLUTION 75-018 <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS <br /> TO THE OPEN MEETING IAW. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The detailed plans for the September 14, 1975 Festifall from Jean and Ed Hance <br /> were considered and the Council members expressed the opinion that the efforts <br /> of Mr. and Mrs. Hance deserved a commendation for the excellence of their proposal. <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt Resolution <br /> 75-020. <br /> RESOLUTION 75-020 <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING ASSESSMENT LEVELS <br /> OF THE METRO AREA T AXES. <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br />
