It <br /> was then pointed out that the same ordinance restriction would apply <br /> to those facilities. <br /> Mayor Miedtke said he understood that C.J. Rein Company who manages <br /> Apache might have alternative camping facilities for the convention <br /> at another location and also pointed out the possibility of some space <br /> being available at the Lowry Grove mobile home park. He and Council- <br /> man Stauffer were concerned with the difficulty of maintaining sanitary <br /> conditions with such a large gathering as well as the negative re- <br /> actions to the proposal which might come from City residents. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to deny <br /> the C.B. United, Inc. request to use the Apache parking lots as a camp <br /> site. <br /> Voting on motion: <br /> Aye: Miedtke and Stauffer <br /> Nay: Sauer, Sundland and Haik <br /> Motion not carried. <br /> The Attorney said he did not feel the Council had specifics of the <br /> • proposal which were sufficient for a decision. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Sundland to table <br /> action for further information on the C.B. request until the next re- <br /> gular meeting of the Council. <br /> Voting on the motion to table: <br /> Aye: Sauer, Sundland and Haik <br /> Nay: Miedtke and Stauffer <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to per- <br /> mit the dances which C.B. United, Inc. intends to hold in the Apache <br /> Plaza Mall on June 11th, 15th and 18th, 1977, as requested. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Attorney said the State requires an application be made for such <br /> a dance so that the necessary investigation of the applicant may be <br /> made by the City. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Sauer to waive <br /> the fees normally charged when application is made for a public dance. <br /> • <br /> (3) <br />
