Mr. Hubmer indicated after conversing with the Park Construction, he felt <br /> 3 the bidding should be kept separate at this time as they are not yet ready to bid out the <br /> 4 Central Park renovations. <br /> 5 Councilmember Thuesen asked if staff was concerned with the $600,000 difference in bid <br /> 6 prices. Mr. Hubmer noted he was not concerned with the large differences. He noted the <br /> 7 owner of Park Construction was from the City of St. Anthony and indicated the owner <br /> 8 was interested in working for the City. Mr. Hubmer indicated Park Construction did <br /> 9 successfully complete work for the City at Silver Point Park. <br /> 10 Motion by Hodson to approve Resolution 01-040 awarding a bid for 2001 street and <br /> 1 I watermain improvements to Park Construction. <br /> 12 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 13 5) Call for Sale for Bonds for 2001 Street and Water Main Improvements <br /> 14 (Resolution 01-045) <br /> 15 Mornson indicated the Council is requested to call for the sale for bonds for the 2001 <br /> street and watermain improvements. He noted Springsted would be present at the next <br /> meeting to review this with the Council. <br /> 18 Motion by Sparks to approve Resolution 01-045 calling for the sale of general obligation <br /> 19 improvement bonds, series 2001 B, as presented. <br /> 20 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 21 d. Appoint Council Liaison to Community Services Advisory Council <br /> 22 Mayor Cavanaugh indicated there was an opening on the Community Services Advisory <br /> 23 Council as Councilmember Thuesen now works for the school district full time and was <br /> 24 not able to serve on the Advisory Council. Councilmember Horst indicated he would be <br /> 25 interested in serving as the liaison to this Advisory Council. <br /> 26 Motion by Sparks to appoint Councilmember Horst as the Community Services Advisory <br /> 27 Council Liaison. <br /> 28 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 29 5. REVIEW ITEMS <br /> o a. Hennepin County Commissioner Mark Stenglein will be present. <br /> Mayor Cavanaugh introduced Mark Stenglein, a Hennepin County Commissioner and asked him <br /> 32 to address the public. <br />
