City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> February 12, 2002 <br /> Page 4 <br /> • also recommended that the City select the Pratt/Ordway team for the redevelopment <br /> 2 project. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Councilmember Horst echoed the feelings of the Council thus far, pointing out the <br /> 5 positive qualities of each of the three developers. He added that he would not have any <br /> 6 problem going with any of the firms,but said he was in favor of going with the <br /> 7 Pratt/Ordway team and partners at this time, as well. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Mayor Hodson stated that this was one of the few times that the Council has <br /> 10 overwhelmingly agreed on an issue. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Mayor Hodson continued that the quality of the work of the Pratt/Ordway team, and the <br /> 13 ability to listen to what the residents were saying was what really impressed him. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Mayor Hodson informed the Council and public that the road ahead of them was a <br /> 16 challenging one, and that it was extremely important that they maintain open lines of <br /> 17 communication. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Motion by Councilmember Faust to approve Resolution 02-027,re: Approval of <br /> 20 Pratt/Ordway, LLC, Pratt Homes, Dominium Development&Acquisition, LLC, and <br /> 21 BKV Group, Inc. to be the firm to proceed to the preliminary development agreement for <br /> 16 the redevelopment of the Northwest Quadrant area of the City of St. Anthony. <br /> 24 Motion carried unanimously, <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Mayor Hodson called for a five-minute recess at 7:35 p.m. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Mayor Hodson reconvened the meeting and introduced Len Pratt of Pratt/Ordway. Pratt <br /> 29 came forward and provided the Council with a brief history of the company. He <br /> 30 introduced John Ordway, his partner and friend of more than twenty years. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 The Dominium team came forward to greet the Council and assure them that they have <br /> 33 made an excellent decision in choosing the extensive Pratt/Ordway team. All present <br /> 34 were thrilled for the new partnership. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 The Council and team of Pratt/Ordway posed for a group photo before the Council <br /> 37 continued with the agenda. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 2. Presentation of Annual Liquor Report for 2001 (Mike Larson, Liquor Manager will be <br /> 40 resent). <br /> 41 Mike Larson came forward and stated that it was the first time that he has been invited to <br /> 42 give an annual report before the City Council, and thanked them for the opportunity to do <br /> 43 so. <br /> 44 <br /> Larson continued with a review of the six-year history of net profits for St. Anthony <br /> Village Liquor Operations. He indicated that there was a steady increase of net profits <br /> 47 for store numbers one and two over the last three years. <br />
