• CITY OF ST. ANTHONY EMERGENCY POTABLE WATER PLAN <br /> page 3 <br /> Director of Public Works will keep the City Manager informed of all situations <br /> and be involved with all decisions concerning the water supply. <br /> The Director of Public Works will keep the State Health Department informed of <br /> what decisions are made. <br /> Power Outages <br /> Public Works Department respond to the outages immediately. Inform the Public <br /> Works Supervisor or the Director of Public Works. Public Works <br /> should investigate the extent of the outage and inform NSP, hook- <br /> up the City's generator and if necessary get New Brighton's <br /> generator also. <br /> Inform Police Department and Fire Department of the emergency and inform the <br /> residents of the water conservation measures if needed. <br /> • Director of Public Works will inform the City Manager or City Council of the <br /> water restrictions. <br /> Chemical Spills Effecting the Water System: <br /> Public Works respond immediately and call the chemical organization of the spill. <br /> Inform PCA of the spill and inform the State Health Department for the assistance <br /> in determining the seriousness of the chemical. <br /> Inform the Director of Public Works or the Public Works Supervisor and work <br /> on isolation of the spill. <br /> If information needs to get to the residents it can be done by the news media, <br /> Police Department or Fire Department. <br /> The City Manager will inform the news media and the City Council. <br /> • <br />
