Housing and Redevelopment Authority Meeting Minutes
• June 25, 1996
Page 2
Motion by Wagner, second by Enrooth to approve change order #4 for the widening of
door 108, finishing hardware, and a credit for burnished block for a total amount of
$1,028.00.
Motion carried unanimously.
B. No. 5 Community Services casework - $18.184.00
Kathy Knapp, Community Services Director, stated the Community Services area needs
more storage than is currently proposed. She will be meeting with Liz Hermann,
Williams/O'Brien to discuss this issue further on Thursday morning.
9 Mr. O'Brien noted he was not aware that this issue was still unresolved. Liz Hermann
10 stated she was also unaware of this. She understood the meeting on Thursday was to
11 discuss storage for oversized mattresses.
12 Ms. Knapp stated the meeting was to discuss storage of the mats the children sleep on.
13 Mayor Ranallo noted that change orders are very expensive. The agreement between the
14 City of St. Anthony and Community Services was that the same amount of space would
be provided in the new building that is currently available in this building.
16 Ms. Knapp stated there is not enough storage in the current facility. She initially did not
17 measure the storage requirement and did not state the amount of storage necessary, only
18 the type of storage needed. When the plans were drawn and she saw the amount of
19 storage, she realized it would not even be adequate for their needs.
20 Mayor Ranallo stated the City would not be able to pay for any further storage space
21 beyond what was before them for consideration this evening. The City did agree to
22 provide Community Services with this amount of storage space.
23 Motion by Wagner, second by Enrooth to approve Change Order #5 for Community
24 Services casework in the amount of $18,184.00.
25 Motion carried unanimously.
26 C. No. 6 Scoreboard - $6.061.00
27 Wagner asked if this amount included the conduit wire. Mr. O'Brien stated the conduit
28 wire was included in the building costs. The $6,061.00 included the scoreboard, a guard
29 and installation.
There was Council consensus to investigate if this item could be purchased for less and
determine if the Sports Boosters were satisfied with this design.
