Housing and Redevelopment Authority Meeting Minutes <br />• August 13, 1996 <br />Page 4 <br />There was Council consensus to discuss this issue at the next work session. Mr. <br />O'Brien acknowledged that there was time in the construction schedule to <br />postpone a decision on this item. <br />4 D. Scoreboard, <br />5 Mr. O'Brien stated he had reviewed the information regarding alternate <br />6 scoreboards received from City Manager. He noted the alternative <br />7 scoreboard would work but was of a lesser quality than the proposed <br />8 scoreboard. He also noted the major cost of the scoreboard was the <br />9 installation. <br />10 Ms. Hermann noted there was very little difference in price between the <br />I 1 two scoreboards. The lower priced scoreboard had only a two year <br />12 warranty compared to a five year warranty and was a mail order item, so <br />13 there would not be local service available. Ms. Hermann stated the total <br />14 cost of the proposed scoreboard and installation was $6,061.00. <br />15 Wagner noted the proposed scoreboard included a cage and the improved <br />16 display. He noted the parties funding the scoreboard were willing to pay <br />for the proposed scoreboard. <br />18 Motion by Enrooth, second by Faust to approve the proposed scoreboard <br />19 in an amount not to exceed $6,061.00. <br />20 Motion carried unanimously. <br />21 E. Graus's Price to Connect Exercise Room To Shower Area, <br />22 Mr. O'Brien noted there originally had not been much interest in this item <br />23 but a final price had been received form Graus of $7,963.00., <br />24 Morrison noted the shower area was intended to be for police use only and <br />25 not open to the other public work employees. <br />26 There was Council consensus not to proceed with this item. <br />27 F. Discuss Asbestos Abatement Consultants' Proposals. <br />28 Mr. O'Brien explained two bids had been received to write the <br />29 specifications for demolition of the hazardous material in the current City <br />30 Hall building. <br />Ms. Hermann reported IEA had provided a bid to write the specifications <br />for $800.00 and provide project management for $18,000.00 to <br />33 $22,000.00. She explained project management included overseeing the <br />
