A second bid in the amount of $3,500.00, including $2,000.00 to write the specifications and $1,500.00 for project management, had been received from Legend Company. Ms. Hermann noted Legend Co. had good references. Mayor Ranallo questioned why they had obtained only two bids. Mr. O'Brien stated a third bid had been received but that company did not have the experience level or the firm history of the other two companies. 9 Faust expressed his concern with the two bids being so drastically 10 different. He asked if Mr. O'Brien was confident in the reputation of 1 I Legend Company. 12 Mr. O'Brien stated he was confident. He noted Legend Co. did bid on the 13 original survey work but the contract was awarded to IEA because they 14 supplied a lower bid. Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve Legend Company in an amount not to exceed $3,500.00 to provide the specification writing and 17 project management for the asbestos removal in the current City Hall 18 building. l9 Motion carried unanimously. 20 Morrison noted there are funds included in the budget for the asbestos 21 abatement consultant and the $19,900.00 for Change Order No. 9. 22 Faust questioned what type of locks would be used in the City 23 Hall/Community Center. 24 Ms. Hermann stated they would use Corbin cylinder locks with a grand 25 master system. 26 VII. OTHER BUSINESS. 27 Morrison introduce an estimate from Bill Bruce A/V Design Production for the design of 28 audio and video upgrades for the City Hall/Community Center. He noted Mr. Bruce had 29 done the specification for all City offices in Sherburne and Wright Counties. There was Council consensus that the City needed to hire someone to design the video and audio system and that the issue needed to be addressed quickly.
