City Council Regular Meeting Minutes
July 22, 2008
Page 3
Mayor Faust noted the proposed resolution does not include a unit number. Including the unit
number in the resolution would alleviate any concerns of expansion without another CUP.
Commissioner Crone indicated the CUP request is for Unit No. 535.
Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Roth, to approve Resolution 08-
046; Conditional Use Permit for Twin City Christian Assembly located at 2526 Highway 88,
Northgate Business Center, with the resolution amended to include Unit No. 535.
Motion carried unanimously.

Mayor Faust expressed appreciation to the Planning Commission for their work, including the
recent work on City ordinances.

V1. Mike Morrison, City Manager presenting,

Mr. Momson reviewed the resolution with the Council and indicated that the proposed task force
would research a single garbage hauler within the City of St. Anthony. The deadline for
applications was June 13, 2008. City Council re- evaluated the task force deadline and extended it
to July 17, 2008. Seven member of the community have applied to serve on the task force.
Assistant City Manager Moore -Sykes will be the staff liaison and the City Council will be
represented by Councilmember Roth and Councilmember Stille. City Manager Mornson
reviewed the meeting schedule for the task force. He stated a report will be presented to the City
Council at the conclusion of the task force. Council has been provided with a revised resolution,
which includes the seventh task force member to submit an application after the original
resolution was drafted.

Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Thuesen, to approve Resolution
08 -047; Appointing Members to the Single Garbage Hauler Task Force.

Councilmember Roth announced the following members of the task force: Michael Gondek;
Bob Heberle; Kerrie Johnson; Dorothy Jones; Cynthia Moracco; Keith Pearson; and David
Severtson.

Councilmember Roth indicated his understanding is that they have received emails and phone
calls about this issue at City Hall. He would like to point out to the public that this is something
to talk about and review the options for the City, and try to make a decision. He would like the
public to know that no decision has been made. He really has no opinion on this one way or
another and would like to point out to the residents that the task force meetings are open to the
public.
