City Council Regular Meeting Minutes January 23, 2007 Page 10 1 City Manager Mornson stated the Three Rivers Park requested attendance in front of City 2 Council to present the Silverwood Park parking plan that was reviewed by the Planning 3 Commission on January 16, 2007. 4 5 City Manager Mornson indicated might not be a meeting on February 27, 2007 as there are no 6 Planning Commission or Council issues. 7 8 City Manager Morrison Complemented the Police Department on the kids and cops basketball 9 program on January 12, 2007. 10 11 City Manager Morrison complemented Mr. Hartman and the Public Works Department for being 12 on top of the water main break and snow removal on January 12, 2007. 13 14 City Manager Morrison stated the St. Anthony Police Department celebrates its 50`h anniversary 15 and a 50 Years of Safety and the Public Safety Fair sponsored by the Kiwanis would be held 16 tentatively in the City Hall on April 28, 2007 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. He stated Public Works, 17 the Fire Department, Excel and Center Point Energy would talk about safety. He mentioned 18 tours of the Police Department would be given. 19 20 City Manager Morrison reported May 5, 2007 clean up day. 21 22 City Manager Morrison reported the City would reapply for the Safe Schools grants for the 23 Highcrest Sidewalk project that would connect with the High School, Middle School, 24 Elementary School and St. Charles schools. 25 26 Councilmember Stille reported attending the Family Services Collaborative meeting on January 27 18, 2007. He invited the community to become involved with the Collaborative. He stated its 28 primary charge is to direct money towards programs for at risk youth. He stated the 29 Collaborative is always looking for new members. He instructed interested residents to call him 30 or Shelly Freeman for details. Good chance to work with good people. 31 32 Councilmember Gray reported attending the North Suburban Communications meeting on 33 January 4, 2007. He stated Comcast would again award about $30,000 in scholarships in the 34 ten -city area to students interested in the communications area of study. He stated interested 35 students could pick up applications at City Hall, on the City website, and libraries. 36 Councilmember Gray stated completed applications are due on April 13, 2007. 37 38 Councilmember Gray reported attending the Sports Boosters meeting on January 10, 2007. He 39 stated 2007 marks the 401h anniversary of the Sports Boosters and celebration plans are in the 40 making. 41 42 Councilmember Gray reported attending the Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting on 43 January 16, 2007. He stated April 18, 2007 is set for the annual meeting. He stated the 44 Chamber is asking for nominations for the business and villager of the year. 45 46 Councilmember Stille asked how to nominate a business or villager.
