City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />January 23, 2007 <br />Page 10 <br />1 City Manager Mornson stated the Three Rivers Park requested attendance in front of City <br />2 Council to present the Silverwood Park parking plan that was reviewed by the Planning <br />3 Commission on January 16, 2007. <br />4 <br />5 City Manager Mornson indicated might not be a meeting on February 27, 2007 as there are no <br />6 Planning Commission or Council issues. <br />7 <br />8 City Manager Morrison Complemented the Police Department on the kids and cops basketball <br />9 program on January 12, 2007. <br />10 <br />11 City Manager Morrison complemented Mr. Hartman and the Public Works Department for being <br />12 on top of the water main break and snow removal on January 12, 2007. <br />13 <br />14 City Manager Morrison stated the St. Anthony Police Department celebrates its 50`h anniversary <br />15 and a 50 Years of Safety and the Public Safety Fair sponsored by the Kiwanis would be held <br />16 tentatively in the City Hall on April 28, 2007 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. He stated Public Works, <br />17 the Fire Department, Excel and Center Point Energy would talk about safety. He mentioned <br />18 tours of the Police Department would be given. <br />19 <br />20 City Manager Morrison reported May 5, 2007 clean up day. <br />21 <br />22 City Manager Morrison reported the City would reapply for the Safe Schools grants for the <br />23 Highcrest Sidewalk project that would connect with the High School, Middle School, <br />24 Elementary School and St. Charles schools. <br />25 <br />26 Councilmember Stille reported attending the Family Services Collaborative meeting on January <br />27 18, 2007. He invited the community to become involved with the Collaborative. He stated its <br />28 primary charge is to direct money towards programs for at risk youth. He stated the <br />29 Collaborative is always looking for new members. He instructed interested residents to call him <br />30 or Shelly Freeman for details. Good chance to work with good people. <br />31 <br />32 Councilmember Gray reported attending the North Suburban Communications meeting on <br />33 January 4, 2007. He stated Comcast would again award about $30,000 in scholarships in the <br />34 ten -city area to students interested in the communications area of study. He stated interested <br />35 students could pick up applications at City Hall, on the City website, and libraries. <br />36 Councilmember Gray stated completed applications are due on April 13, 2007. <br />37 <br />38 Councilmember Gray reported attending the Sports Boosters meeting on January 10, 2007. He <br />39 stated 2007 marks the 401h anniversary of the Sports Boosters and celebration plans are in the <br />40 making. <br />41 <br />42 Councilmember Gray reported attending the Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting on <br />43 January 16, 2007. He stated April 18, 2007 is set for the annual meeting. He stated the <br />44 Chamber is asking for nominations for the business and villager of the year. <br />45 <br />46 Councilmember Stille asked how to nominate a business or villager. <br />
