Resolution 05 -016; Declaring the Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation <br />4 of Proposed Assessments. <br />5 Mr. Hubmer reviewed the resolution with the Council and indicated that the 2005 project costs <br />6 have been determined. The cost will be approximately $1,800,000. <br />8 Motion by Councilmember Horst, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to adopt Resolution 05- <br />9 016; Declaring the Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation of Proposed Assessments. <br />10 <br />11 Motion carried unanimously. <br />12 <br />13 3. Resolution 05 -017; Calling a Hearing on Proposed Assessment for 2005 Street <br />14 and Utility Improvements. <br />15 Mr. Hubmer reviewed the resolution with the Council and indicated that the City will hold a <br />16 hearing on February 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. He also indicated an <br />17 additional public hearing will be held on February 2, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. to give updated <br />18 information on street reconstruction. <br />19 <br />20 Councilmember Horst asked if each homeowner would be given an idea of what they will be <br />21 assessed. Mr. Hubmer answered they would. <br />22 <br />' Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Horst, to adopt Resolution 05- <br />017; Calling a Hearing on Proposed Assessment for 2005 Street and Utility Improvements. <br />25 <br />26 Motion carried unanimously. <br />27 <br />28 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br />29 City Manager Mornson reported the following: <br />30 • Recognition for activities in St. Anthony has been greater this past year. A feature on our <br />31 municipal liquor stores was done in a magazine; the League of Minnesota Cities featured <br />32 St. Anthony; many interviews regarding the City were conducted. <br />33 • Chandler Place donated money to the local fire dept to purchase a new defibrillator for <br />34 the new truck the Fire Department wishes to purchase. <br />35 • We are being nominated for award by the Real Estate Journal for best mixed use <br />36 development; and also being nominated for best in landscaping. <br />37 • The insurance office will audit the fire and water department next month in order to give <br />38 a new rating. The rating is 5 now, and according to the insurance adjustor, that is a good <br />39 rating. This is a three -day audit that happens every 15 years. <br />40 <br />41 Councilmember Stille asked if the National Association of Homebuilders has been to the City. <br />42 Mr. Momson said he wasn't sure and offered to find out. <br />43 Mayor Faust indicated that the team effort has been played by 3 integral parts: Council, Staff and <br />44 advisors, and the community. He said we have a fine community and now we are getting the <br />- recognition for it. <br />
