Resolution 05 -016; Declaring the Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation 4 of Proposed Assessments. 5 Mr. Hubmer reviewed the resolution with the Council and indicated that the 2005 project costs 6 have been determined. The cost will be approximately $1,800,000. 8 Motion by Councilmember Horst, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to adopt Resolution 05- 9 016; Declaring the Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation of Proposed Assessments. 10 11 Motion carried unanimously. 12 13 3. Resolution 05 -017; Calling a Hearing on Proposed Assessment for 2005 Street 14 and Utility Improvements. 15 Mr. Hubmer reviewed the resolution with the Council and indicated that the City will hold a 16 hearing on February 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. He also indicated an 17 additional public hearing will be held on February 2, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. to give updated 18 information on street reconstruction. 19 20 Councilmember Horst asked if each homeowner would be given an idea of what they will be 21 assessed. Mr. Hubmer answered they would. 22 ' Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Horst, to adopt Resolution 05- 017; Calling a Hearing on Proposed Assessment for 2005 Street and Utility Improvements. 25 26 Motion carried unanimously. 27 28 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. 29 City Manager Mornson reported the following: 30 • Recognition for activities in St. Anthony has been greater this past year. A feature on our 31 municipal liquor stores was done in a magazine; the League of Minnesota Cities featured 32 St. Anthony; many interviews regarding the City were conducted. 33 • Chandler Place donated money to the local fire dept to purchase a new defibrillator for 34 the new truck the Fire Department wishes to purchase. 35 • We are being nominated for award by the Real Estate Journal for best mixed use 36 development; and also being nominated for best in landscaping. 37 • The insurance office will audit the fire and water department next month in order to give 38 a new rating. The rating is 5 now, and according to the insurance adjustor, that is a good 39 rating. This is a three -day audit that happens every 15 years. 40 41 Councilmember Stille asked if the National Association of Homebuilders has been to the City. 42 Mr. Momson said he wasn't sure and offered to find out. 43 Mayor Faust indicated that the team effort has been played by 3 integral parts: Council, Staff and 44 advisors, and the community. He said we have a fine community and now we are getting the - recognition for it.
