Presentation of 2004 City and Housing and Redevelopment Authoritv Audits. Stuart
Bonniwell, City Auditor presenting. Resolution 05 -049. re: Approve the 2004 Budget
Amendment and City Audit.
City Auditor Stuart Bonniwell summarized the main points of the events of the previous year.
He noted there is a General Fund balance of $1,173,965, which is an increase over what it was at
the end of 2003. The largest change was in the Capital Project Funds and this was due to the
expenditure of bond proceeds that we had issued in 2003 or our public facilities project.
The General Fund balance had a slight increase of almost $32,000. He noted the biggest change
in the budget was in the building permit category. This is in part due to the Apache Plaza
redevelopment. He said he would request the City approve a resolution revising the original
budget to $4,164,000. The expenses of the original budget compared to the revised budget looks
like the City overspent. However it was due to building permits. This may rise again in 2005
and then level off.
