People can bring used items such as clothing, household or furniture, and they will be
recycled through the thrift store. The people that shop there are often people who can benefit
from getting a bargain or those looking for a bargain. The store also serves as a job training site
for youth and adults. On September 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. there will be a grand reopening,
with ribbon cutting ceremonies at 4:30 p.m. The store is restructured and improved.

Mayor Faust commented that some of the employees are people that have received services from
the agency. Ms. Andrews stated it is a job training site for those that are struggling in some way.
There is the opportunity to become a shift leader, and if successful in that role, one could become
a junior administrator and help with PR and marketing.

B.
