He commented Staff had not indicated this would <br />be allowable. He stated it would be hard for him to authorize an amendment to the PUD <br />document that is not preliminarily authorized by Hennepin County. He commented he drew <br />something that would have less impact onto the highway and forwarded it to Staff. He stated he <br />is reluctant to understand how all 26 stalls could be done without an approval for a second access <br />point. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes replied this could be conditional upon approval by <br />Hennepin County. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren asked if would be an administrative approval. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes stated she would need to find out. <br /> <br />Mr. Ranallo replied if they were told not to do the six, they would not. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen asked if they received a parking easement with the next door neighbor. <br /> <br />Mr. Ranallo stated he has met with them several times to purchase 30 feet or for a permanent <br />easement. He reported the neighbor said they could park there if they wanted but if the Mobile <br />Station wanted to build on it, they would. Mr. Ranallo stated the owner would not sell the <br />property to the Kenzington. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren commented the side yard parking setback was not accounted for and needed to <br />be addressed. <br /> <br />Mr. Ranallo stated they would go with what the Planning Commission recommended and would <br />be happy with what they could get to alleviate the hardship. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes commented this is a PUD overlay; therefore, some of the <br />regulations could be made more flexible for the parking required. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen asked if, in the analysis of stalls off the alley, it was easier to draw the <br />parking spots perpendicular or was it not a discussion, concern or dealt with. <br /> <br />Mr. Ranallo replied, if the amendment was approved, they would ask Mr. Jay Hartman who the <br />contractor is and would look for the best parking option. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen asked what the residents say about the direction they currently enter the <br />complex from. <br />
