He stated the plan states the <br />rights and interests of the individuals living in the mobile home park should be respected. The <br />plan states the City and County should work to find affordable replacement housing for the <br />residents of the mobile home park; this is a condition of redevelopment. <br /> <br />Mrs. Vernie Bjorkland, 3207 Silver Lake Road, asked about the land across from the St. <br />Anthony Village Shopping Center and asked if the rental units would be rental units or <br />condominiums. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren replied the comp plan only identifies land use density and identifies these sites <br />as underutilized. <br /> <br />Mrs. Bjorkland asked if subsidized housing would be included. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren stated the comp plan only concentrates on the mobile home park residents <br />addresses and relocation of the mobile home park residents according to state law. He indicated <br />the redevelopment could be five to 25 years in the future and because of this there is no diagram <br />for subsidized housing. <br /> <br />Mrs. Bjorkland asked if the residents of the mobile home would be required to relocate within St. <br />Anthony. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren replied it did not specify where the residents would be located. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren replied there the residents have the option to match the value, the right to <br />relocation costs, and the right to move the mobile home units. <br /> <br />Mrs. Bjorkland asked if the housing across from St. Anthony Village Shopping Center is the <br />vacant lot on the right going towards Lowry. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren replied it was. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren closed the public hearing at 7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Jenson, seconded by Commissioner Crone, to approve Resolution No. <br />07-055, a resolution of preliminary approval of the draft 2008 City of St. Anthony <br />Comprehensive Plan Update for submission to the Metropolitan Council and re-submission of <br />the Draft 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan to adjacent cities, counties, watershed districts <br />and the school district. <br /> <br />Motion carried unanimously. 42 <br />43 <br />44 <br />45 <br />46 <br /> <br />VIII.
