She reported the bid expires June 30, <br />2007 if the City chooses not to execute the agreement. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes commented City Council is reviewing the proposal and <br />submitting additional questions. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jenson asked what types of additional costs would be over and above the quoted <br />cost. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes replied if the attorneys from American Legal Publishing <br />were required to come to St Anthony for any reason, St. Anthony would pay travel costs, meals, <br />and lodging while in St. Anthony. She stated the City would not be responsible paying for their <br />time while they were here. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Jensen commented the proposal mentions columns and pages. He indicated it did not <br />describe the point or font size or what happens if the Code exceeds the 500-sheet base. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes replied Staff would discuss this with Mr. Addicks. She <br />indicated requirements could be specified in the contract. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen expressed his concern with the number of sheets charged versus the <br />number of words on a page and the format. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Moore-Sykes replied Mr. Addicks must abide by the reasonable person <br />standard to make it readable and understandable by the citizens of St. Anthony. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen stated he is confused about the add-ons that appear to imply a license fee <br />for the work and additional copies of the document that would belong to the City’s once <br />completed. He commented the proposal did not state a license is being executed. He stated <br />that the way the document is structured, copies could not be made or put on the web site per the <br />contract as currently written. He assumed the City would want full use of the documents rather <br />than pay a yearly license fee for that privilege. <br /> <br />Chair Stromgren replied he assumed it would be part of the contract. He commented other cities <br />do use American Legal Publishing who then posts various city ordinances on the web for public <br />use, for a fee. <br />
