Currently Lt. Basara <br />and FF Jaros have completed the state’s training for investigation. Several others, including <br />myself, have received fire cause determination training from different agencies – Technic al <br />Colleges, private agencies. I also currently belong to the MN IAAI. <br />In 2016 we had 2 incidents involving fire that resulted in at least $1,000 in damage. <br />Incident Damage <br />Cooking Fire $2,000 building – cabinets, appliance, painting <br /> Cause determined to be inattentive cooking. <br /> <br />Commercial Fire $8000 Property, $17,000 product, raw materials <br /> Cause determined to be solvent soaked rags in a container. <br />* This fire was controlled by the activation of 2 sprinkler heads. If there would have been no <br />sprinklers this would have been much worse.*
