There were several cooking incidents <br />that resulted in no damage <br /> Property Contents Total <br />2016 Total Fire Loss $10,100 $17,100 $27,200 <br /> <br />2015 Total Fire Loss $255,000 $255,000 <br /> <br />The 2015 Fires in MN report from the State FM Office did not include numbers that were used <br />in last year’s report – dollar loss per 1000 residents. Our fire losses were very low last year. <br />Sprinklers were a clear factor in reducing the loss in the commercial fire. Full time staffing, <br />quick response, fire prevention education, and inspections are also factors that keep this <br />number low. <br />GOALS/OBJECTIVES/PLANS <br />Below are the some of the goals I have set. Some have been accomplished but most will require <br />a longer time frame. With calls and other duties time is limited. I include them in the report for <br />reference and to edit them as needed. <br />Complete recurring inspections schedule taking into account business hazards. Accomplished <br />Seek Training – Inspector 2, Fire Academy, New code updates – Accomplished <br />Continuous education for myself and all inspectors - On going <br />When new codes are adopted secure copies for reference – Accomplished <br />Develop a plan to flow test hydrants. Firefighter Benik - In progress <br />Evaluation of permitting process to look for possible efficiencies, opportunities, and <br />redundancies. In Progress <br />Long Range – Preplan system that will work for us – Firefighter Benik – In progress <br />Seek Training on Fire investigations and ensure our process is efficient and covers all the bases. <br />–On going
