2015 Annual Report • Fire Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

22 | Page

VII. Emergency Management
2015 was a year of training and updating plans for the Emergency Management division.
Monthly meetings are attended for both Hennepin County and Ramsey County Emergency
Management. Training includes weather and trends, inventory of resources, available county
resources, plan management and learning from past incidents. Meeting attendees are members
of local cities, private industry, educational institutions, transportation, county departments and
hospitals.
This past year we as a city were required by Hennepin County Emergency Management to
update our Hazard Mitigation Plan for the city, which then becomes a part of a County wide
plan that then needs to be approved by the County Commissioners. Our plan continued to
focus on the mitigation that the city has been doing for a number of years which is tied to
strengthening our infrastructure. These focus areas included; improving our streets, installing
fiber optic, backup generators for our lift stations, and focus on areas where past flooding has
taken place. This update of the hazard mitigation plan included members from Fire, Police,
Finance, Public Works, Administration and Liquor Operations. This plan is good for 5 years and
allows for potential grant opportunities by FEMA.
0
50
100
150
200
250
Vegetation Miscellaneou
s
Parking
Violation/Ex
pired Tabs
Signs Structure/Ya
rd
Maintenance
Garbage/Ref
use
Total
2012 39 21 19 19 3 19 120
2013 63 39 35 22 16 7 182
2014 60 44 15 21 26 11 177
2015 119 17 38 19 32 13 238
Nu
m
b
e
r

o
f

C
o
m
p
l
a
i
n
t
s

Code Violation Complaints
