2016 Annual Report • Administration • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

44

Currently, the Historical Society is continuing to sort and note archived items. As these items
are what may be of interest to our community, their goal is to get to a point where they know
their inventory and it is all documented, and they can identify where the items are stored for
easy access. This information should soon be available to access via Historical Society’s
webpage.
They have also gathered a few more stories about people’s experiences in surviving and picking
up after the tornado St. Anthony endured of April 26, 1984. This disaster affected quite a
number of people, residences, and businesses in the community and they would like to gather
this history while the people, stories and businesses are still available.
The Historical Society has a good group of committed volunteers and always appreciate further
support, whether monetarily or by way of the valuable resource of time.

NSCC and CTV North Suburbs
CTV North Suburbs is a non-profit organization operated by the North
Suburban Access Corporation (NSAC). The nine commission members
represent the cities of Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, Mounds View,
New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, and St. Anthony. The North Suburban Cable Commission
(NSCC) is a joint powers venture with the same cities. We have come together to offer all our
residents a station with programming created by the community, for the community.
The Commission administers and enforces the franchise agreement with the cable company and
its successors; stewards resources, including franchise fees from member cities,
scholarship/internship funds from the cable company and other income and assets acquired by
contract with the cable company or others; provides a means of public access to cable television;
and informs member cities and the public of developing technology and issues related to cable
communications.
City of St. Anthony appoints a member of the City Council to represent St. Anthony at all
Commission meetings and functions. The City representative is a Commissioner on the NSCC
and a Director on the NSAC Board of Directors. The City Manager also serves on the City
Managers and Administrators Committee along with other appointed staff from the nine
commission cities.
