9/20/2013 <br />iat are the roles and responsibilities of staff <br />members in regards to safety in the City? <br />City Manager- <br />• Authorize the Health and Safety Program and provide the <br />various staff members that are in charge of specific <br />programs the authority to administer them. <br />• Hold all employees accountable for their responsibilities, as <br />they relate to the city's Health and Safety Program. <br />• Provide visible, sincere support for all safety programs and <br />safety program activities, and will lead by example in <br />matters related to the Health and Safety Program. <br />• The City Manager also ensures that the department heads <br />are accountable for their performance, as it relates to <br />health and safety program. <br />What are the roles and responsibilities of staff <br />members in regards to safety in the City? <br />Safety Coordinator- <br />• The development, implementation and day to day <br />administration of the program throughout the entire City. <br />• Understand the content of each Health and Safety Program, <br />and the regulations which apply. <br />• Carries out the duties and /or coordinates the delegation of <br />contracting of duties outlined in this program. <br />• Provide visible, sincere support for all safety programs and <br />Health and Safety Program activities, and will lead by <br />example in matters related to the Health and Safety Program. <br />• Works with the various departments and supports the <br />department heads and line supervisors to ensure they are <br />aware of, and fulfilling their safety responsibilities. <br />
