The Permit (Part III.D.6.) requires that, within 12 months of the date permit coverage is extended, existing permittees shall <br />revise their current program, as necessary, and continue to implement an operations and maintenance program that <br />prevents or reduces the discharge of pollutants from the permittee owned/operated facilities and operations to the small <br />MS4. Describe your current program: <br />The City currently inspects its structural pollution control devices on an annual basis and inspects all of its outfalls, <br />sediment basins and ponds every 5 years. The City inspects stockpiles, storage and material handling areas at the <br />maintenance yard for potential discharges and maintenance of BMPs. The City is evaluating the use of road salt for winter <br />road maintenance activities to reduce chlorides entering our water resources. The City sweeps streets on a regular basis. <br />Maintenance staff is trained annually on various topics related to pollution prevention during maintenance activities. <br />2.
