City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 27, 2018 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Councilmember Gray thanked Mr. Casey for a great job last year. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Councilmember Jenson complimented the entire City staff keeping the headcount flat over the 4 <br />past few years. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Councilmember Stille thanked Mr. Casey for his work and that of the entire staff. He noted a 7 <br />significant amount of work is responding to telephone calls, emails, putting out fires, etc. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Councilmember Randle thanked Mr. Casey for his help in bring him up to speed as a new 10 <br />Councilmember. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Mayor Faust stated the Green Step 5 is significant without a full-time staff person. There has 13 <br />been substantial work with the Department of Justice (DOJ) for staff. The pyramid permits staff 14 <br />and Council to focus. The City does not have a grant writer and other staff members step up and 15 <br />apply for grants for the City. He gave his sincere appreciation to staff. 16 <br /> 17 <br />D. City of St. Anthony Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accommodations. 18 <br /> 19 <br />City Manager Casey reviewed the ADA Accommodations the City has placed on the website and 20 <br />how individuals requesting accommodations can contact the City. This information has also been 21 <br />added to agendas. The process for submitting an ADA grievance using the online form was also 22 <br />reviewed. This information will be included in the City Newsletter. Mr. Casey thanked City 23 <br />Clerk Nicole Miller who put the information together. Mr. Casey is the ADA Coordinator for the 24 <br />City. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Councilmember Stille asked if rather than not filing a grievance, residents can send an email to 27 <br />the City Manager and Mr. Casey stated they can. 28 <br /> 29 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 30 <br /> 31 <br />City Manager Casey stated ‘hats off’ to the Public Works Department on the outstanding job 32 <br />with snow removal. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Councilmember Stille stated on February 19, he attended the Kiwanis Meeting. On February 26, 35 <br />the Parks and Planning Commissions met together, followed by a Planning Commission meeting 36 <br />with a public hearing on the Lowry Grove Redevelopment. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Councilmember Gray stated on February 21, he attended the Executive Search Committee 39 <br />meeting for the North Suburban Access Communications. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Councilmember Randle stated on February 23, he attended the Collaborative Reform rollout for 42 <br />the Police Department. On February 26, he attended the joint Park Commission and Planning 43 <br />Commission meeting. 44 <br /> 45 <br />3
