Updated software reporting is now available and additional
training was found to have been documented.
o 2016 – 2173 documented= 75 hours per person
o 2015 – 2323 documented=86 hours per person
o 2014 – 3661 documented=130.8 hours per person
o 2013 – 1678 documented = 69.9 hours per person
o 2012 – 2983 documented = 102.9 hours per person
Our three rookie class averaged 330 hours of rookie specific training their first year aside
from our monthly training.
This includes 12 hours of EMT training for each of our members who are EMTs.
Six of our members received 40 additional hours of Hazardous Materials Training
through our membership with the North Suburban Hazmat Team.
We were able to have two drills with outside instruction, one about hybrid vehicles and
firefighting concerns, and one regarding fire pump operation and construction.
We added 7 additional drills this year.
The increase in documented hours can be accounted for with better documentation
procedures and better reporting software.
