Resolution 19 -033; a Resolution Approving the St. Anthony ADA Transition Plan for <br />2 Pedestrian Facilities in the Public Right -of -Way. <br />3 <br />4 Assistant City Engineer Messner reviewed the resolution with the Council and the Americans <br />5 with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan for pedestrian facilities the public right -of -way. He <br />6 provided a PowerPoint presentation that included information on the background and need; <br />7 purpose of an ADA Transition Plan, steps to compliance; public notice, grievance procedure and <br />8 ADA coordinator; self - evaluation of City -owned pedestrian facilities; implementation approach; <br />9 and public outreach. Assistant City Engineer Messner noted the proposed resolution would <br />10 approve the ADA Transition Plan. <br />11 <br />12 Councilmember Stille stated that he felt the inventory was very helpful and can be referred to <br />13 with every street project that comes through. He asked who a citizen should contact if they have <br />14 a complaint, because he knows some of this is outside of the City's jurisdiction. City Manager <br />15 Casey stated that people can contact him and he will send them to the appropriate entity. <br />16 <br />17 Councilmember Jenson stated that this document has been available on the website for a month <br />18 and noted that he appreciates the approach from staff and feels the document is well written. <br />19 <br />20 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to adopt Resolution 19- <br />21 033; a Resolution Approving the St. Anthony ADA Transition Plan for Pedestrian Facilities in <br />22 the Public Right -of -Way. <br />23 <br />24 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />25 <br />26 D. St. Anthony Public Works Department Annual Report. <br />27 <br />28 Public Works Director Hartman used a PowerPoint to present information on the 2018 Public <br />29 Works Annual Report. He reviewed the Public Works Mission Statement; the make -up of the <br />30 Public Works Divisions and their duties; Completed Projects; Street and Utility Improvement <br />31 Projects Schedule; Proposed 2019 Improvement Projects; Citywide Sustainability Initiatives. He <br />32 showed a picture of the current staff members in the Public Works Department and stated that <br />33 they are some of the most dedicated people he has met and they are truly "people serving <br />34 people ". He noted that the entire report is available on the City website. <br />35 <br />36 Councilmember Gray stated that the brine usage was less this year than the last two years and <br />37 asked if there were less snow events this year, even though the total snowfall amounts were a lot <br />38 more. <br />39 <br />40 Public Works Director Hartman stated that he believes there were less events this year and more <br />41 brine was used last year because there was more of a need for de- icing. <br />42 <br />43 Councilmember Gray asked if the new equipment could have contributed to the decreased usage <br />44 in brine. Public Works Director Hartman stated that could also be a factor in that decrease. <br />45 <br />
