The 3 <br />project will be rebid on June 19, 2019. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Councilmember Stille asked if this is an example of typical bids and Mr. Messner stated when 6 <br />there is a low number of bids it may be the contractors are busy but offers a high bid to see if it is 7 <br />accepted. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Councilmember Jenson asked if the new bids that come in are still quite high is there a 10 <br />contingency plan. Mr. Messner stated there would be a discussion at the staff level. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Mayor Faust stated could this project be done later in the year without any adverse effects. Mr. 13 <br />Messner agreed. 14 <br /> 15 <br />City Manager Casey stated the bid specs will specify completion within a certain number of 16 <br />days. There will be a timeframe for the construction. Mr. Messner stated it would be 60 days. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gay, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution 19-19 <br />047; a Resolution to Reject All Bids Received and Ordering Advertisement for Rebids for the 20 <br />Industrial Park Flood Improvement Project. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Motion carried 4-0. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Mr. Messner provided an update on the projects currently being done within the City including 25 <br />the Silver Lake Road Storm Sewer Project, 2018 Street Reconstruction Project, and the County 26 <br />Road C Project. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Faust stated the hours for the County Road C project were extended for work on the 29 <br />project. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Councilmember Stille referred to Silver Lake Road and there being two-way traffic. Mr. Messner 32 <br />stated that would be two-way traffic in two lanes. 33 <br /> 34 <br />C. Ordinance 2019 -06; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 112 Alcoholic Beverages. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mr. Casey summarized the proposed amendments to Chapter 112 Alcoholic Beverages, section 37 <br />112.09 Places Ineligible for a License are presented for Council consideration. National Grill is 38 <br />providing food and beverage service at the clubhouse for Gross Golf Course. Staff has not 39 <br />received any calls or letters from the first reading.
