Parks Commission Meeting Minutes <br />March 10, 2003 <br />Page 2 <br />1 IV. REPORT BY REPRESENTATIVES RICH KOECHLEIN, BRW/URS AND BRAD <br />2 FORBROOK, SEE. <br />3 <br />4 A. Brad Forbrook, SEH - Silver Point/Central Park Update. <br />5 <br />6 Brad Forbrook, SEH Representative, provided the Commission with a status report for the <br />7 Shelter at Silver Point Park. <br />8 <br />9 Central Park <br />10 <br />11 Mr. Forbrook stated that they have several items to fmish at Central Park that include plumbing <br />12 fixtures, operable partition needs to be installed, and partitions for plumbing fixtures and sink. <br />13 He explained that when these items are done they would put together a punch list. He stated that <br />14 it is their hope that this work would be completed in two to three weeks. He stated that all parts <br />15 and pieces are in except for the door noting that they are waiting for the carpet. He explained <br />16 that the carpet had to be reordered because the manufacturer had discontinued the pattern that <br />17 had been chosen. He stated that they were able to order the same carpet through a different <br />18 distributor. <br />19 <br />20 Chair Jindra asked Mr. Forbrook for the original completion date. Mr. Forbrook stated that it <br />was originally scheduled to be completed February lsc <br />2z <br />23 Mr. Zurbey clarified that in the last contract the building was supposed to be completed last fall. <br />24 Mr. Forbrook confirmed and acknowledged that several completion dates were not met. He <br />25 reviewed the delays stating that many of the delays were either due to weather or water issues. <br />26 <br />27 Mr. Zurbey asked if the exterior and cement work was done. Mr. Forbrook confirmed that it was <br />28 completed. <br />29 <br />30 Mr. Forbrook reviewed the electrical and utility connections in the plaza area stating that they <br />31 are in the process of being completed. Mr. Koechlein explained that some pavement had to be <br />32 removed due to concrete work being done prior to removing the stubs. <br />33 <br />34 Mr. Zurbey asked if the picnic area is completed. Mr. Forbrook stated that it is. <br />35 <br />36 Mr. Forbrook noted that there are a number of finished items that are less than satisfactory. He <br />37 stated that they have noted the items and would be sure they are completed satisfactorily. <br />38 <br />39 Chair Jindra asked if Mr. Forbrook would be available to meet sometime this week to review the <br />40 park area. Mr. Forbrook confirmed that he would be available. He stated that he would contact <br />41 Public Works Director Hartman to coordinate the schedule. <br />42 <br />Mr. Zurbey asked for an update on the payments. Public Works Director Hartman stated that <br />44 they are approximately 80% paid on the payment schedule. He stated that they are covered for <br />45 the remaining expenses. <br />
