, Parks Commission Meeting Minutes <br />October 13, 2003 <br />Page 5 <br />1 Mr. Koechlien stated that they are meeting this week to determine all items that need to be addressed <br />2 including the hockey boards. He stated that he would work with Mr. Urdahl on the Varsity field issues <br />3 adding that they would possibly re -seed the practice field turf and pickup the remaining rocks in the <br />4 area. <br />5 <br />6 Chair Jindra asked Mr. Koechlien to review the project plans and provide Mr. Hartman with a proposal <br />7 within the next two days. Mr. Hartman agreed noting that the cleanup should also include the west <br />8 fields. He suggested getting a contractor stating that he does not expect Veit to come back. <br />9 <br />10 Commissioner Jensen asked who would be responsible for the action items addressing the 75-foot <br />11 baseline issues. <br />12 <br />13 Mr. Hartman stated that he would work with Mr. Koechlien on the identified issues and update the <br />14 Commission with a timeline. <br />15 <br />16 B. Silver Point Park Update <br />17 <br />18 Mr. Hartman provided the Commission with an update. He stated that the block is up and that they are <br />19 setting the roof this week. He stated that they would also be installing the windows and doors. He <br />20 stated that they are in good shape and plan to be completed by mid -November. <br />2z Chair Jindra asked if they would be re -seeding the park in the spring. Mr. Hartman confirmed that they <br />23 would re -seed in the spring. <br />24 <br />25 Commissioner Gebhardt asked if they have a target date for the skating rinks. Mr. Hartman stated that <br />26 they do not have a set date yet noting that the date is dependent upon the weather. <br />27 <br />28 Chair Jindra asked if the plan to plow the trails this year. Mr. Hartman stated that this issue is being <br />29 discussed and that he would update the Commission on their decision. <br />30 <br />31 Chair Jindra asked if the residents would be able to use the parks for sledding this year. Mr. Hartman <br />32 stated that the residents should be able to use the parks for sledding. <br />33 <br />34 Chair Jindra suggested touring the park next month, prior to the Parks Commission meeting. Mr. <br />35 Hartman suggested waiting with scheduling the tour until they have a clear picture of what would be <br />36 completed by then.
