City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 26, 2020 <br />Page 3 <br />1 City Manager Casey stated the City Council is requested to approve the 2020 Parks & <br />2 Environmental Commission Work Plan. <br />3 <br />4 Parks & Environmental Commission Chair Bellinger made a presentation to the City Council on <br />5 the 2020 Parks & Environmental Commission Work Plan. <br />6 <br />7 Councilmember Randle asked for elaboration on the item "Explore Central Park Solar <br />8 Demonstration Project". <br />9 <br />10 Chair Bellinger indicated that was something that the Citizens for Sustainability introduced to <br />11 them and the Commission does not have the details yet and will be talking about it. It is going to <br />12 be a demonstration type of solar system in the park. <br />13 <br />14 City Manager Casey explained the placement where the solar array will go would be ultimately <br />15 up to the Council. <br />16 <br />17 Mayor Stille stated the City Council has heard from the Planning Commission regarding their <br />18 work plan and now from the Parks & Environmental Commission and the City never used to <br />19 have these workplans but this has been a good framework and sets the tone for the Commissions <br />20 purpose. <br />21 <br />22 Motion by Councilmember Webster, seconded by Councilmember Walker, to approve the 2020 <br />23 Parks & Environmental Commission Work Plan. <br />24 <br />25 Motion carried 5-0. <br />26 <br />27 B. Ordinance 2020-01; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 150 of the City Code Concerning <br />28 Access to Multi -Family House Structures by United States Census Bureau Employees. <br />29 <br />30 City Manager Casey reviewed the Ordinance with the Council and indicated that this is the <br />31 second reading amending Chapter 150 of the City Code concerning access to multi -unit housing <br />32 structures by United States Census Bureau employees. <br />33 <br />34 Motion by Councilmember Webster, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to advance to the <br />35 third reading of Ordinance 2020-01; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 150 of the City Code <br />36 concerning access to multi -family house structures by United States Census Bureau Employees. <br />37 <br />38 Motion carried 5-0. <br />39 <br />40 C. 2020 Strategic Plan. <br />41 <br />42 City Manager Casey reviewed the 2020 Strategic Plan with the City Council. <br />43 <br />44 Councilmember Jenson stated when the City Council participated in the two-day event there was <br />45 a lot of input from everyone that attended and participated which made for a very robust process <br />46 that was conducted. <br />
