St. Anthony Public Works Department Annual Report. 14 15 Director of Public Works Hartman presented the Public Works Department Annual Report to the 16 City Council. 17 18 Councilmember Webster thanked Mr. Hartman for the opportunity to learn about the 19 sustainability practices that Public Works is engaging in. She thanked him for hosting the Smart 20 Salting Seminar. She understood Mr. Hartman’s team has worked really hard at capturing the 21 water Central Park with the splash pad and the preschoolers and Village kids are big fans of the 22 splash pad. She understood in past years his team has looked at how it might reduce hours at the 23 splash pad to conserve water and was appreciative of how they are looking for ways to conserve 24 resources. 25 26 Councilmember Jenson commended Mr. Hartman’s entire team on how they demonstrate 27 ownership to residents of St. Anthony and the fact that they have held their census count flat for 28 twenty-five years is incredible. He noted if there is a big snowstorm it is plowed within six 29 hours which is amazing. Not many cities have that capability or willingness. He wanted to 30 thank Mr. Hartman and his team and staff. Mr. Hartman indicated he appreciated that. 31 32 Mayor Stille thanked Mr. Hartman for his presentation and all the hard work done by his staff. 33 34 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 35 36 City Manager Casey reported that yesterday Doran submitted their demolition plans for the 37 former Wal-Mart site and anticipate that happening in early April. He also noted on Saturday, 38 March 21st will be Coffee with the Council at 9:00 a.m. at the Landings and two weeks from 39 tonight at the next Council meeting the same night will be Cops VS Kids basketball starting at 40 6:20 p.m. at the high school. 41 42 Councilmember Webster stated as the Council Liaison to the Chamber of Commerce, the 43 Chamber announced their Villager of the Year/Business of the Year.
