City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />September 22, 2020 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Interim City Manager Yunker reviewed the resolution with the Council. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Motion by Councilmember Walker, seconded by Councilmember Webster, to approve 4 <br />Resolution 20-071; a Resolution Ratifying the 2021 Agreement Between the International Union 5 <br />of Operating Engineers Local 49 AFL-CIO Representing the St. Anthony Public Works 6 <br />Department Employees and the City of St. Anthony Village. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 9 <br /> 10 <br />E. Resolution 20-072; a Resolution Authorizing DDA Human Resources, Inc. to Assist in 11 <br />the City Manager Search. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Interim City Manager Yunker reviewed the resolution with the Council. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Mayor Stille indicated it was the consensus of Council to choose DDA Human Resources, Inc. 16 <br />He noted the Council did talk to them and received answers to questions. The thing he was most 17 <br />interested in is how much the firm knew about St. Anthony and Liza, the recruiter knew St. 18 <br />Anthony very well which is very helpful. Another reason he liked the firm is because it is more 19 <br />local and smaller. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Councilmember Jenson explained one thing that came out very clear to him during the interview 22 <br />is that the firm has a very diverse group of organizations that they will go out and pursue 23 <br />candidates and will give St. Anthony a good, qualified group of candidates to review. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to approve Resolution 26 <br />20-072; a Resolution Authorizing DDA Human Resources, Inc. to assist in the City Manager 27 <br />Search. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 30 <br /> 31 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Councilmember Randle stated Saturday, September 13, 2020 was the City’s annual clean-up day 34 <br />and it was a good turn out but not nearly as many people as the first time he did the event. On 35 <br />Sunday, September 14, 2020 he visited the Sister Cities Retreat and on Monday, September 15, 36 <br />2020 he attended the Council Worksession. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Councilmember Walker stated he attended the North Suburban Communications Commission 39 <br />meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2020. CTV will soon be changed to Nine North to 40 <br />represent all of the municipalities. CTV and the North Suburban Communications Commission 41 <br />have worked with developers to make improvements in the security and capabilities and the next 42 <br />goal is to bring this product to market to sell to other cities outside of the GTA. He explained 43 <br />along with CTV, in October there will be a paneled discussion entitled “Africans and African 44 <br />Americans-A Family Reunion”.
