City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />September 22, 2020 <br />Page 4 <br />l <br />2 Interim City Manager Yunker reviewed the resolution with the Council. <br />3 <br />4 Motion by Councilmember Walker, seconded by Councilmember Webster, to approve <br />5 Resolution 20-071; a Resolution Ratifying the 2021 Agreement Between the International Union <br />6 of Operating Engineers Local 49 AFL-CIO Representing the St. Anthony Public Works <br />7 Department Employees and the City of St. Anthony Village. <br />8 <br />9 Motion carried 5-0. <br />10 <br />11 E. Resolution 20-072; a Resolution Authorizing DDA Human Resources, Inc. to Assist in <br />12 the City Manager Search. <br />13 <br />14 Interim City Manager Yunker reviewed the resolution with the Council. <br />15 <br />16 Mayor Stille indicated it was the consensus of Council to choose DDA Human Resources, Inc. <br />17 He noted the Council did talk to them and received answers to questions. The thing he was most <br />18 interested in is how much the firm knew about St. Anthony and Liza, the recruiter knew St. <br />19 Anthony very well which is very helpful. Another reason he liked the firm is because it is more <br />20 local and smaller. <br />21 <br />22 Councilmember Jenson explained one thing that came out very clear to him during the interview <br />23 is that the firm has a very diverse group of organizations that they will go out and pursue <br />24 candidates and will give St. Anthony a good, qualified group of candidates to review. <br />25 <br />26 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to approve Resolution <br />27 20-072; a Resolution Authorizing DDA Human Resources, Inc. to assist in the City Manager <br />28 Search. <br />29 <br />30 Motion carried 5-0. <br />31 <br />32 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />33 <br />34 Councilmember Randle stated Saturday, September 13, 2020 was the City's annual clean-up day <br />35 and it was a good turn out but not nearly as many people as the first time he did the event. On <br />36 Sunday, September 14, 2020 he visited the Sister Cities Retreat and on Monday, September 15, <br />37 2020 he attended the Council Worksession. <br />38 <br />39 Councilmember Walker stated he attended the North Suburban Communications Commission <br />40 meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2020. CTV will soon be changed to Nine North to <br />41 represent all of the municipalities. CTV and the North Suburban Communications Commission <br />42 have worked with developers to make improvements in the security and capabilities and the next <br />43 goal is to bring this product to market to sell to other cities outside of the GTA. He explained <br />44 along with CTV, in October there will be a paneled discussion entitled "Africans and African <br />45 Americans -A Family Reunion". He reviewed what the discussion will entail. <br />46 <br />
