2020 Annual Report • Public Works Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota 6 VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DIVISION The Vehicle Maintenance Division (Fleet Maintenance) provides the necessary vehicle maintenance and repairs all the City’s Public Works vehicles and equipment, which includes both licensed and non-licensed equipment. In addition, the division supports the Police and Fire Department with their maintenance needs. The City’s existing Vehicle Maintenance Division staff is trained and licensed to certify all vehicles in the fleet to meet DOT standards and pass inspections on an annual basis. The Maintenance Division assists in the purchase and specification process when replacing Capital Equipment for the Public Works Department. It has always been the goal of this division to provide the necessary service and repair of all City owned equipment in a manner which is competitive with outside service alternatives. The Public Works Capital Equipment purchases included as follows:  2020 Streets Division: Wheel Loader  2020 Streets Division: Asphalt Hot Box  2020 Streets Division: Asphalt Roller  2020 Water/Sewer Division: Vactor/Jetter  2020 Parks Division: Slope Mower/Sidewalk Plow PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT PROJECTS Throughout the year, the Public Works Department, which includes Engineering, aids in numerous projects across the community. In 2020, the Public Works Department completed the following projects:  Citywide Building Maintenance  Annual City-Wide Clean Up Day  Annual Branch Chipping Program  2020 Capital Equipment Purchases  Hennepin County Healthy Tree Canopy Grant  Annual Employee Training to include: AWAIR (A Workplace Accident and Injury Reduction) program, Emergency Action/Fire Prevention, Personal Protective Equipment, Right To Know, and MS4/Illicit Discharge Program Staff Training
