Have the city sponsor energy efficiency improvements to homes and businesses. Help make these <br />improvements feasible for residents who are on the fence. <br />Be outside more rather than running A/C with sidewalks <br />Set thermostat at specified levels, electric small motors such as lawn mowers, community gardens. <br />Nothing. It won’t matter on a city only basis. Give everyone free or subsidized trees, like Minneapolis, <br />tree planting is the number one way to combat climate change. <br />Reduce plastic plastic usage, drive less <br />individual composting, more incentives for pollinator gardens <br />Plant waterwise plants, reduce water usage, attempt to drive less. I do wish businesses were more <br />of a walkable distance. <br />Drive a car less. Never have a recreational fire. Don’t use dryer sheets which have toxins in them. <br />Reduce car use/fossil fuels, efficient energy use <br />I walk or bike to as many places as I can (I am 68 years old) so people in STA need to drive their <br />cars less oen for easily walkable errands etc. <br />Plant sustainable lawns that are chemical free and use only rain water. No wood burning (I don't do <br />it now). Home well insulated & maintained. Provide bee paths & plants for butterflies, bees, and other <br />pollinators. Help homeowners come up with and implement a home/yard/garden sustainability plan. <br />installing solar on every city owned building. Reducing water usage; offering curb side organics <br />collection; planting trees <br />Invest in solar and electric vehicles. <br />Add solar panels, but need help financially <br />Walk and bike more, get an electric car. <br />Walk and bike more. Choose green energy sources. Plant trees and native pollinators. Consume less. <br />Recycle. Elect individuals who care about improving the environment . <br />Home energy efficiency <br />We have reduced watering our yard, added a rain barrel. We keep our house cooler in the winter and <br />warmer in the summer to reduce energy use. We have also bought into a program where some of <br />our energy comes from wind power. <br />Push mowers!!! <br />Drive less <br />Maintain my home, so it lasts longer. <br />limit automobile use; judicious landscaping <br />I would add solar panels to my home, however it is still far from being cost-efficient even with the <br />current 30% tax credit <br />Reduce commercial driving access to residential neighborhoods <br />It would be helpful to have incentives and infrastructure, so that businesses and individuals could <br />take more personal action on climate change. Again, I would need to understand which actions <br />would have the most impact before suggesting solutions. Based on the options below Saint Anthony <br />Village is not as walkable as it could be. I live in the area around Emerald Park and not having <br />sidewalks is a safety issue that prevents me from letting my children walk freely around the <br />neighborhood. <br />It would be helpful to have incentives and infrastructure, so that businesses and individuals could <br />take more personal action on climate change.
