Nothing
Have easy access to more in depth recycling options. I would be interested to know more ways that
I could reduce emissions.
Switch to heat pump heat & cooling, switch gas oven/ stove to electric or induction, switch lawn to
something more natural. (Have already taken several actions - solar, battery, heat-pump water
heater, insulation, some of windows more efficient , LED light bulbs as compact florescent that I put
in when moved here in 2009 wear out , etc).
native gardens, limiting sprinkler systems to a certain amount per year, e encouraging and funding
rain gardens rather than pushing sump pump water to our drains, encouraging greener options for
residents with credits and education.
Compost and water conservation
Work on energy efficiency at home
We have already transitioned to solar power, drive an electric car, transitioned to largely native
plantings, and invested in energy efficiency appliances, including a hybrid heat pump furnace. We
compost and limit plastic as much as we can. We advocate with elected officials. And yet .
Walk and bike more, switch to an EV, convert yard to more native plants, add trees to our yard,
reduce energy consumption through warmer/cooler heating and cooling temperatures depending on
the time of year, install ASHP, shop smart to reduce waste consumption and buy local, avoid
ordering things online to reduce traffic, conserve water use by reducing showers/not irrigating or
watering/using rainwater.
Encourage electric bikes
Full scale easy and free recycling for organic curbside pick up
Upgrade my windows.
1.
