Option 1 provides for the <br />termination of any short-term rental, while Option 2 provides for the continuation of the <br />existing licensees, but prohibit new short-term licenses. <br />Third, accommodation of the State’s requirements for “Sacred Settlements” by Conditional Use <br />Permit, with a series of provisions for zoning regulations managing the potential impacts of this <br />new accessory use on religious institution property. <br />CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of the proposed ordinance amendments addressing various aspects <br />of the City’s single family rental housing and licensing with the following motion: <br />1.Motion to recommend approval of the proposed zoning ordinance amendments as <br />described in this report, and the accompanying ordinances, including the following: <br />a.Ordinance Proposal No. 1 <br />b.Ordinance Proposal No. 2 (Option C.1 or Option C.2) <br />c.Ordinance Proposal No. 3 <br />ALTERNATIVE PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br />2.Motion to recommend denial of the amendments. In the event of a recommendation <br />for denial, the Planning Commission must state its findings related to denial on the <br />record. <br />3.Request Additional Information and Table Action.
