SENIOR SERVICES <br />• Work with community partners to <br />understand position, future needs & <br />expectations <br /> <br />• Community Services has hired staff to focus on Senior <br />programming. Will spend the coming months gathering <br />input from the community on needs and desires, and <br />tailor future programming to meet those expectations. <br /> <br />PEDESTRIAN & BIKE-FRIENDLY ROUTES <br />• Plan for expansion & enhancement with <br />future county projects <br /> <br />• This action step will be integrated into the Climate Action <br />Plan action step under the Transportation section. <br />• Staff met with Hennepin County staff to discuss future <br />reconfiguration of Kenzie Terrace and possible addition of <br />walking/biking lanes. <br />• Mpls Park Board staff has reached out to discuss their <br />Grand Rounds Missing Link initiative with the City. <br /> <br /> <br />Informed & Engaged Community <br />SINGLE WASTE HAULER <br />• Implement in Spring ‘23 <br />• Continue to monitor curbside organics <br />program rollouts in both counties <br /> <br />• Hauler change became effective April 1st. <br />• Ramsey County organics pilot program is active, expected <br />to expand to rest of the cities in Ramsey the near future. <br /> <br />NIGHT TO UNITE <br />• Public Safety staff & City Council <br />participation <br /> <br />• Public Safety staff, City Council and Commission <br />representatives attended 40+ neighborhood parties. <br />SISTER CITIES PROGRAM <br />• Plan for future Salo, Finland visit by City <br />officials <br /> <br />• City supported Salo visitors hosted by the Sister Cities <br />Committee in early August, 2023. Discussions took place <br />during visit on scheduling St. Anthony Official’s visit <br />sometime in the near future. <br /> <br />Safe & Secure Community <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT MEDICAL SKILLSET <br />EXPANSION <br />• Implement in early ‘23 <br /> <br /> <br />• Advanced Life Support (ALS) program was put into effect <br />on February 20th. Initial feedback from Hennepin County <br />so far has been very positive. <br /> <br />TECHNOLOGY <br />• Implement new Police Department <br />records management system <br /> <br /> <br />• Implement Lexipol policy platform for the <br />Fire Department <br /> <br />• Training and data conversion is completed, but <br />implementation is on hold due unanticipated connectivity <br />issues between the RMS vendor and Hennepin County <br />CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch). <br />• Lexipol platform is implemented, and the department is <br />beginning to implement updated policies. <br /> <br />209
