City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />October 24, 2023 <br />Page 4 <br />Councilmember Webster referred to number 4 in the staff report and she feels a discussion with <br />the Planning Commission is in order. There was a strong desire to gain more community input <br />on this. <br />5 Mayor Stille stated the predominant theme is going to be the real estate aspect. Council will <br />6 make the decision on whether to move forward with a survey or not but Planning Commission <br />7 input will be heard. The Planning Commission meeting was very interesting and they did their <br />8 job and they did it well. <br />10 City Planner Grittman stated he will ask the Planning Commission to close the public hearing at <br />11 their next meeting and look for a date for a Council — Planning Work Session. <br />12 <br />13 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />14 <br />15 A. Resolution 23-060 — Accepting Donations to the Fire Department. <br />16 <br />17 Fire Chief Sitarz introduced Mr. Roy Quady. This will be his third time before the Council. He <br />18 absolutely loves St. Anthony. In 2014 he made a donation to the Police Department and in 2015 <br />19 to make a donation to the Fire Department. In 2014 he made a donation to the Police Department <br />20 and in 2015 to make a donation to the Fire Department. Mr. Quady reviewed a Power Point <br />21 describing the Mlinar Sisters (his mother and two aunts). He provided detailed background <br />22 information on his family. Mr. Roy Quady on behalf of the Mlinar Sisters donated $10,000 to the <br />23 Fire Department to be used for station equipment and EMS training props. <br />24 <br />25 Mayor Stille thanked Mr. Quady for his third donation and his unwavering support for the City. <br />26 Mr. Bob Manske of the historical society is present this evening to document this event. <br />27 Photographs were taken. <br />28 <br />29 Councilmember Randle read the resolution in full. <br />30 <br />31 Motion by Councilmember Randle, seconded by Councilmember Walker, for approval of <br />32 Resolution 23-060 — Accepting Donations to the Fire Department. <br />33 <br />34 Motion carried 5-0. <br />35 <br />36 B. Goals Update <br />37 <br />38 City Manager Yunker reviewed the 2023 Goals Chart and provided updates to each of the Action <br />39 Steps. <br />40 <br />41 Mayor Stille commented the three half days spent in goal setting are a systematic way to keep us <br />42 on track. <br />43 <br />44 VIL REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />45 <br />
