<br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />XCEL ENERGY PARTNERS IN ENERGY <br /> Memorandum of Understanding <br /> Implementation Phase <br />• Create content to promote in City communications (e-newsletters, social media) <br />to share audits as the first step to energy efficiency. <br />• Create a campaign to promote building energy assessments to businesses. <br />• Create content on business energy resources to have City share with Chamber <br />of Commerce communication channels. Find speakers and create presentations <br />for business meetings. <br />• Share best practices for City to partner with business groups to share resources. <br />Help identify champions in the business community to highlight and create <br />success stories for marketing. <br />• Coordinate a door-to-door businesses campaign with a program implementor <br />and City to share about energy efficiency assessments and recommendations for <br />projects. <br />• Share energy efficiency resources, funding, and programs to help residents reduce <br />energy use, including those experiencing high energy burden. <br />• Help identify grants and funding sources to have City provide free or reduced <br />home energy audits. <br />• Share best practices for City to cultivate partnerships with local organizations, <br />food shelves, libraries, schools, and parks. <br />• Create content and materials on energy efficiency and ways to reduce energy <br />burden to share in joint communication channels and at events. <br />• Support communication with rental property managers about energy efficiency <br />improvement opportunities for facilities and residents. <br />• Identify resources for the City to share with multi-family building owners and <br />managers, retail spaces, nonprofits, and senior living facilities to promote energy <br />assessments. <br />• Help coordinate the creation of energy kits to distribute to residents of multi- <br />family buildings and create materials to support energy education of items. <br />• Create mailers and utility bill inserts for renters to learn energy-saving tips and <br />programs. Help facilitate translation of materials into other languages when <br />appropriate. <br />• Create content for the City to include in property license renewal channels. <br /> <br />Support funded by Xcel Energy for this strategy is not to exceed 74 hours. These hours will <br />include those provided through the Partners in Energy team from Center for Energy and <br />Environment and does not include support provided by Xcel Energy internal program staff. <br /> <br />Renewable Energy <br /> <br />• Create a targeted campaign for residents to partake in utility renewable energy <br />subscription programs and community solar gardens. <br />o Use mapping tools and data to identify where people have not installed solar and <br />target those areas. <br />o Create a guide that shares available programs and renewable options, and best <br />practices for residents to select programs that fit their needs.
