Compliance with the operational standards of the code in Section 155.29, notably the <br />requirements for monochromatic lettering against a solid black background, and <br />dimming of the display during night hours, as well as other applicable code <br />requirements. <br />Also provided for Council review were Exhibit A: Application and Supporting Material and <br />Exhibit B: City Council Resolution. <br />Councilmember Jenson asked if the requirements are the same as the other churches that have <br />put up dynamic signs, and Mr. Grittman stated they are the same. Councilmember Jenson stated <br />he has no problem with this request. <br />Mayor Webster noted this request is in line for what is in City Code. <br />Councilmember Doolan stated she watched the Planning Commission meeting and Mr. Grittman <br />did a good job explaining the different lighting on the sign. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elnagdy, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />25-026 a Resolution Approving a Request for a Conditional Use Permit for an Electronic <br />Dynamic Display Sign at 2708 33`d Avenue NE in the R-1 Single Family Residential Zoning <br />District subject to conditions. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />IX. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />A. Fire Department Annual Report. <br />Fire Chief Izzy Diaz presented a PowerPoint of the 2024 Fire Department Annual Report. The <br />presentation included Department Organization, Staffing and Promotions, Apparatus Update, <br />2024 Calls for Service, 2024 Calls Overview, 2024 Response Breakdown for Calls, 2024 <br />Multiple Calls Response, 2024 Advanced Life Support (ALS) Data, 2024 Intervention Response <br />Time, Code Committee, Housing and Rental Code, Fire Inspections: Commercial and <br />Businesses, Public Safety Education, Community Engagement, Community Engagement: Giving <br />Back, Training Overview, Social Media — Connect with Us, 2024 Accomplishments, Looking <br />Forward: 2025-2026, and Stay Connected. The complete Annual Report can be viewed online at <br />www.savimixom. Deputy Chief Maddie Jaros was also present. <br />Mayor Webster thanked Chief Diaz and Deputy Chief Jaros for the presentation. <br />Councilmember Jenson referred to the organization chart and asked who the full-time personnel <br />were and Chief Diaz noted the ones at the top of the chart are full-time personnel. <br />Councilmember Jenson thanked Chief Diaz for the detailed report. <br />Councilmember Elnagdy thanked Chief Diaz for the report. <br />
