City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />October 10, 2006 <br />Page 5 <br />1 Mr. Hubmer stated the recommendation is to proceed to the final design and incorporate this <br />2 project into 2007 Street Reconstruction Project. <br />4 Mr. Hubmer stated if Council decides to move forward, project schedule would be to hold <br />5 neighborhood meeting in November 2006, approve plans and specifications on November 28, <br />6 2006 receive bids in December 2006, award the bid in February 2007, begin construction in <br />7 May 2007 and finish construction in October or November 2007. He mentioned there would be <br />8 some impacts to residents, such as the removal of trees. <br />9 <br />10 Councilmember Gray asked if the lighting is consistent with 29t" Avenue. <br />11 <br />12 Mr. Hubmer replied it would be the same lighting as St. Anthony Boulevard, 29h Avenue and <br />13 consistent with lighting in St. Anthony Village. <br />14 <br />15 Mayor Faust asked if the trees removed and the accent lights displayed by residents would be <br />16 replaced. He also asked about sidewalk width. <br />17 <br />18 Mr. Hubmer replied these would be replaced. He answered the sidewalk would be six feet wide <br />19 and at a boulevard it would be five feet wide. <br />20 <br />21 Mayor Faust asked who was responsible for snow removal and that they would need to <br />22 coordinate with the school as they are planning to do some fencing. He stated the new principal <br />23 will need to be contacted so the City is in concert with what the school plans to do. <br />24 <br />25 Mr. Hubmer stated the snow removal equipment is five feet wide and the Public Works <br />26 department does snow removal. <br />27 <br />28 Mayor Faust pointed out there may be a need for a stop sign on the westbound road as people use <br />29 it as a cut off. <br />30 <br />31 Mr. Hubmer stated most of the turning movements are to the north with little traffic south of that. <br />32 <br />33 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Resolution <br />34 06-076, a Resolution Receiving Report and Ordering Plans and Specifications. <br />35 <br />36 Motion carried unanimously. <br />37 <br />38 D. Resolution 06-077; Accept the Feasibility Study and order plans and specifications for <br />39 2007 Street Reconstruction Project. <br />40 <br />41 Mr. Hubmer reported this project provides for the street and utility reconstruction of 39I' <br />42 Avenue from Silver Lake Road to Fordham Drive; Pahl Avenue from Roosevelt Street NE to <br />43 Wilson Street; 27t" Avenue NE from Stinson Boulevard to Coolidge Street; Roosevelt Street NE <br />44 from 27t` Avenue NE to the alley north of Pahl Avenue; the alley north of Pahl Avenue from <br />45 Roosevelt Street NE to Wilson Street; the alley south of Pahl. Avenue from Roosevelt Street NE <br />46 to Wilson Street and the alley south of 27ffi Avenue NE from Stinson Boulevard to Wilson Street. <br />
