We feel
that, given the tone of the last meeting, we should explore all less -restrictive alternatives first.
Since these potential options have only recently become available, there was no opportunity to
seek such a delay until this point.
We believe that an indefinite tabling of the proposed amendment would therefore be
appropriate while these options are explored and, if these other options prove successful, we
would support withdrawing the proposed amendment. We believe that denying the
amendment outright would be unfair given the leg work and numerous parks commission,
planning commission and city council meetings that we have gone through since late February.
We hope that this matter should come to a resolve this fall, and would anticipate that
the. proposed sign ordinance could be cleared by then.
Do not hesitate to contact me with questions related to this request.
Sincere ,
tl,>l 2,
Eric B.
