recommends Council approval the sale of the 2000 Chevrolet 2500 Fire Department truck to <br />Stanley Johnson for the amount of $7,351.00. <br />G.14 Approve Sale of 2003 Chevy 1500 Engineering Truck <br />Approved at the February 1, 2016 City Council meeting was the advertisement for the sale of the <br />2003 Chevrolet 1500 Engineering Department truck through a sealed bid process. Staff is <br />pleased to inform the Council that a high bid of $4,050.00 was submitted by Bob's Auto Ranch <br />of Lino Lakes. A total of 2 bids were received. Staff recommends Council approval the sale of <br />the 2003 Chevrolet 1500 Engineering Department truck to Bob's Auto Ranch for the amount of <br />$4,050.00. <br />G.15 Approve Purchase of 2016 F150 Building Department Truck <br />Included in the City's 2016 General Budget is funding for the replacement of the Building <br />Department's 1/2 ton pickup truck. This truck would replace the department's aging 2006 <br />Chevrolet 1500. Midway Ford has been awarded the contract with the State of Minnesota to <br />supply 1/2 ton Ford pickup trucks. A price was quoted by Midway to supply a 2016 Ford F150 <br />4x4 extended cab. This truck is very similar to the current truck being driven by the Building <br />Department and is priced at $29,119.24 (includes tax and license) as allowed through the <br />Cooperative Purchasing Venture with the State of Minnesota. Please see the attached quote from <br />Midway Ford. Staff recommends that council authorize the purchase of the 1/2 ton truck from <br />Midway Ford through the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture for a price of <br />$29,119.24. <br />G.16 Approve Hiring Bryan Carlson as Part-time Video Technician <br />Bryan Carlson has submitted his application for employment for the part time position as an <br />audio/video technician to film and record City Council and Planning Commission meetings as <br />needed. Staff recommends Council approve the hiring of Bryan Carlson at the rate of $12/hour <br />beginning on March 3, 2016. <br />G.17 Approve Resignation of Kevin Kriegshauser as Training Lieutenant of the Fire Department <br />Firefighter Kevin Kriegshauser has resigned his position as Training Lieutenant of the Hugo Fire <br />Department and is requesting to remain as a regular firefighter. Fire Chief Colvard recommends <br />Council approve the resignation of Kevin Kriegshauser as the Training Lieutenant and <br />appointment as a regular firefighter on the Department. <br />H.1 Public Hearing Oneka Lake Blvd/147th Street Improvement Proiect <br />At its December 21, 2015 meeting, the Council approved a resolution receiving the feasibility <br />report and calling for a public hearing on the proposed Oneka Lake Boulevard and 147th Street <br />Improvement Project. The public hearing will be held to consider the improvements and provide <br />an opportunity for those affected by the proposed improvements to be heard. Staff recommends <br />the Mayor open the public hearing and take all comments. Following the public hearing, staff <br />will recommend Council approve the resolution ordering the improvements and preparation of <br />the plans and specifications for the proposed project. <br />
