recommends Council approval the sale of the 2000 Chevrolet 2500 Fire Department truck to Stanley Johnson for the amount of $7,351.00. G.14 Approve Sale of 2003 Chevy 1500 Engineering Truck Approved at the February 1, 2016 City Council meeting was the advertisement for the sale of the 2003 Chevrolet 1500 Engineering Department truck through a sealed bid process. Staff is pleased to inform the Council that a high bid of $4,050.00 was submitted by Bob's Auto Ranch of Lino Lakes. A total of 2 bids were received. Staff recommends Council approval the sale of the 2003 Chevrolet 1500 Engineering Department truck to Bob's Auto Ranch for the amount of $4,050.00. G.15 Approve Purchase of 2016 F150 Building Department Truck Included in the City's 2016 General Budget is funding for the replacement of the Building Department's 1/2 ton pickup truck. This truck would replace the department's aging 2006 Chevrolet 1500. Midway Ford has been awarded the contract with the State of Minnesota to supply 1/2 ton Ford pickup trucks. A price was quoted by Midway to supply a 2016 Ford F150 4x4 extended cab. This truck is very similar to the current truck being driven by the Building Department and is priced at $29,119.24 (includes tax and license) as allowed through the Cooperative Purchasing Venture with the State of Minnesota. Please see the attached quote from Midway Ford. Staff recommends that council authorize the purchase of the 1/2 ton truck from Midway Ford through the State of Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture for a price of $29,119.24. G.16 Approve Hiring Bryan Carlson as Part-time Video Technician Bryan Carlson has submitted his application for employment for the part time position as an audio/video technician to film and record City Council and Planning Commission meetings as needed. Staff recommends Council approve the hiring of Bryan Carlson at the rate of $12/hour beginning on March 3, 2016. G.17 Approve Resignation of Kevin Kriegshauser as Training Lieutenant of the Fire Department Firefighter Kevin Kriegshauser has resigned his position as Training Lieutenant of the Hugo Fire Department and is requesting to remain as a regular firefighter. Fire Chief Colvard recommends Council approve the resignation of Kevin Kriegshauser as the Training Lieutenant and appointment as a regular firefighter on the Department. H.1 Public Hearing Oneka Lake Blvd/147th Street Improvement Proiect At its December 21, 2015 meeting, the Council approved a resolution receiving the feasibility report and calling for a public hearing on the proposed Oneka Lake Boulevard and 147th Street Improvement Project. The public hearing will be held to consider the improvements and provide an opportunity for those affected by the proposed improvements to be heard. Staff recommends the Mayor open the public hearing and take all comments. Following the public hearing, staff will recommend Council approve the resolution ordering the improvements and preparation of the plans and specifications for the proposed project.
