Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for March 3, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 9 <br />ongoing efforts to educate the public to eliminate the number of false alarms they responded to. <br />Kevin explained there were 27 trained EMTs with a total of 1,464 drill hours. The department <br />was continuing to provide leadership development training. <br />The Council discussed with Kevin the Heart Safe Community designation, and their push to get <br />people trained in CPR. The Department has four CPR instructors and trained 232 people last <br />year. They are also identifying and mapping where Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) are <br />located in the community. There are AEDs in three of Hugo's public buildings. The Fire <br />Department is also reaching out to businesses, schools and churches. <br />Mayor Weidt called for a short recess and called the meeting back to order at 7:50 p.m. <br />Approval of the Consent Agenda <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda item: <br />1. Approval of Claims <br />2. Approve Performance Review for Building Department Secretary Debi Close <br />3. Approve Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit for Pheasants Forever Banquet at Sal's Angus Grill <br />on March 31, 2014 <br />4. Approve Resolution Approving CUP Amendment for Randy Nugent at 15183 Freeland <br />Avenue North <br />5. Approve City Council Focus Goals for 2014 <br />6. Approve Resignation of EDA Commissioner Jim Bever and Advertisement for Vacancy <br />7. Approve Advertisement for Public Works Seasonal Employees <br />8. Approve Xcel Energy Overhead Power Line Replacement north of 130th Street North <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Claims <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br />Approve Performance Review for Building Department Secretary Debi Close <br />Debi Close was hired as the City's Building Department Receptionist on March 20, 2006. For <br />the past eight years, Debi has performed customer service duties both at the front counter and on <br />the telephone scheduling inspections with contractors. Debi also works as the secretary to the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the annual <br />performance review for Building Department Receptionist Debi Close. <br />
