Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for July 14, 2014 <br />Page 4 of 8 <br />Approve Temporary Liquor License for Wilson Tool Picnic on August 9, 2014 <br />The Hugo Lions Club has applied for a Temporary Liquor License to serve beer and wine <br />coolers to the attendees of the Wilson Tool Company Picnic on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at <br />Hugo Lions Park. The Lions Club has paid the application fee and provided the necessary <br />insurance for the event. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Temporary Liquor <br />License for the Hugo Lions Club to serve alcohol at the Wilson Tool Company Picnic on <br />Saturday, August 9, 2014. <br />Approve Resolution Approving Site Plan and CUP Amendment for New Life Church <br />Building Addition <br />New Life Church, 6000 148th Street North, requested approval of a site plan and conditional use <br />permit (CUP) amendment for a building addition on the property located at 6000 148th Street <br />North. The site plan is for a 4,560 square foot building addition to the 5,965 square foot church <br />on the 6.36 acre parcel. A CUP is required for a Place of Worship to be located in the Central <br />Residential (CR -3) zoning district and the amendment is required for the building addition. At its <br />June 26, 2014, meeting the Planning Commission considered the request and held a public <br />hearing. Staff provided background on the request and recommended approval. There was no <br />one that spoke during the public hearing except the applicant. The Planning Commission agreed <br />that the request met the criteria necessary to approve a site plan and CUP amendment and <br />recommended approval of the resolutions to the City Council. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved RESOLUTION 2014-19 APPROVING A SITE PLAN FOR NEW LIFE CHURCH <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING ADDITION ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />6000 148TH STREET NORTH and RESOLUTION 2014-20 APPROVING A CONDITIONAL <br />USE PERMIT AMENDMENT FOR NEW LIFE CHURCH TO ALLOW A BUILDING <br />ADDITION ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 6000 148TH STREET NORTH. <br />Approve Resolution Approving CUP for Indoor Riding Arena at 13961 Elmcrest Ave. N. - Vint <br />Christina Vint, 13961 Elmcrest Avenue North, requested approval of a conditional use permit to <br />allow an indoor horse riding arena to be located on the property. The property is approximately <br />12.11 acres in size. The proposed facility will be 6,600 square feet and meet all required <br />setbacks. At its June 26, 2014 meeting, the Planning Commission considered the request and <br />held a public hearing. Staff provided analysis of the conditional use permit approval criteria and <br />recommended approval of the CUP. The Planning Commission agreed with the staff s findings <br />that the CUP request meets the approval criteria and recommended approval of the resolution to <br />the City Council. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2014-21 <br />APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR CHRISTINA VINT FOR A 6,600 <br />SQUARE FOOT INDOOR HORSE RIDING ARENA FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED. <br />Approve Resolution Approving Variance for Accessory Building at 12150 Upper Heather <br />Ave. N. - Windisch <br />Thomas Windisch, 12150 Upper Heather Avenue North, requested a variance to allow an <br />accessory building to be placed in the front of the house, where the ordinance states that <br />accessory buildings shall not protrude in front of the principal structure. At its June 26, 2014 <br />meeting, the Board of Zoning and Adjustments considered the request and held a public hearing. <br />
