Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved the reappointment of Tom Weidt as the City Council representative to serve on <br />the Board of Zoning Appeals and Adjustments for another one-year term. <br />Approve Appointment of Rick Gwynn as the Planning Commission Representative on the <br />Board of Zoning Appeals and Adiustments <br />Rick Gwynn has served as the Planning Commission Representative on the Board of Zoning <br />Appeals and Adjustments since January 2013. Rick has agreed to serve another year on the <br />Board as a Planning Commission Representative. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br />the reappointment of Rick Gwynn to the Board of Zoning Appeals and Adjustments for 2013. <br />Approve Appointment of Chris Boland as the Resident Member on the Board of Zoning <br />Appeals and Adiustments <br />Chris Boland served as the resident member on the Board of Zoning Appeals and Adjustments <br />since January, 2012. Members on the Board are appointed annually. Chris has indicated his <br />desire to continue to serve on the board. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />appointment of Chris Boland as the resident member on the Board of Zoning Appeals and <br />Adjustments for 2013. <br />Approve Appointment of Chair of the Board of Zoning Appeals and Adiustments <br />Annually, Council approves appointment of Chair of the Board of Zoning Appeals and <br />Adjustments. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the reappointment of Board Member <br />Tom Weidt as Chair of the Board of Zoning Appeals and Adjustments. <br />Approve Animal Control Service Contracts with Animal Control Inc. and Hillcrest Animal <br />Hospital for 2013 <br />Richard Ruzicka, dba Animal Control Services (ACS), has been providing the City of Hugo <br />animal control services for the past several years. ACS is requesting to continue to provide <br />service to the City of Hugo; however, the ACS contract has been amended to omit the charges <br />for impound services for claimed and unclaimed animals. Hillcrest Animal Hospital has served <br />as the City's impound facility, and will be billing the City directly for those services. The <br />recently approved fee schedule for 2013 includes a $150.00 impound fee paid directly to the <br />Hillcrest Animal Hospital by residents when their animals are claimed, which will offset the <br />amount charged to the City by Hillcrest. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Animal <br />Control Service Contract with ACS and the Animal Impound Services Agreement with Hillcrest <br />Animal Hospital for the year 2013 subject to review by the City Attorney. <br />Approve Thursday, April 18, 2013 as Annual Board of Appeal & Equalization Meeting <br />Each year, Council meets as the Board of Appeal and Equalization with the sole purpose of <br />providing Hugo residents and business owners an opportunity to appear personally in front of the <br />Board to discuss their property market valuations. Washington County Assessor Bruce Munneke <br />has selected Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. as the date and time on which to <br />hold the meeting. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the date for the Board of Appeal <br />and Equalization meeting for April 18, 2013. <br />
