Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for April 15, 2013 <br />Page 5 of 8 <br />Approve Award of Bid for the 145th Street Sidewalk Proiect <br />At its February 25, 2013 meeting, the Council authorized the advertisements for bids for the <br />145th Street sidewalk reconstruction project. Bids were opened on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. <br />There were a total of eight contractors bidding on the project with the low bidder being Dunaway <br />Construction. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the award of bid to Dunaway <br />Construction at a total of $68,088.67 for the reconstruction of the 145th Street sidewalk, west of <br />Highway 61. <br />Approve Award of Bid for the 2013 Dust Control Proiect <br />At its February 4, 2013 meeting, the Hugo City Council authorized City staff to advertise and <br />receive bids for the 2013 dust control project. Bids were received and opened on March 21, <br />2013 for this contract. Public Works Director Scott Anderson reviewed the bids and made a <br />recommendation to the Council to award the bid to low bidder Envirotech, Inc. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, award the bid for the 2013 dust control project to <br />Envirotech, Inc to provide calcium chloride at $.885/gallon. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approve Award of Bid for the 2013 Seal Coating Proiect <br />At its February 4, 2013 meeting, the Hugo City Council authorized City staff to advertise and <br />receive bids for the 2013 seal coat project. Bids were received and opened on March 21, 2013 <br />for this contract. Public Works Director Scott Anderson will review the three bids received and <br />made a recommendation to the Council to award the bid to low bidder Pearson Brothers, Inc. <br />Haas made motion, Bronk seconded, to award the 2013 seal coating project bid Pearson Brothers <br />Inc., in the amount of $118,512.25. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approve Quote for the 2013 Gravel Road Resurfacing Project <br />Quotes were received for the delivery of gravel for the City's gravel road resurfacing project. <br />Public Works Director Scott Anderson reviewed with the Council the quotes received. Scott <br />explained $89,000 was budgeted for the project and the low quote was for $61,327.70. The <br />remaining dollars would be spent on rock for soft spot repairs. <br />Haas made motion, Klein seconded to approve the Quote from MJ Raleigh Trucking for 7.90/ton <br />for the gravel road resurfacing project. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
