Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 20, 2013 Page 3 of 8 Approval of Claims Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Rick Kieffer Rick Kieffer was re -hired by the City of Hugo on May 31, 2005, returning after a short period of time in the private sector. Over the past eight years, Rick has worked under the direction of Public Works Director Scott Anderson. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Rick Kieffer. Approve Pay Request No. 9 to Municipal Builders, Inc. for Well House No. 6 The City has received Pay Request No. 9 from Municipal Builders, Inc. for work on Well House No. 6. Senior Engineering Technician Steve Duff and City Engineer Jay Kennedy have reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Pay Request No. 9 from Municipal Builders, Inc. in the amount of $5,452.05 for work completed on Well No. 6. Approve Application for Water Surface Use Permit for David Strub on Sunset Lake On behalf of the residents on Sunset Lake, Dave Strub made application to the City of Hugo for a water surface use permit for a slalom water ski course on the lake. Washington County Sheriff's Department has provided the application form that has been completed by Dave Strub. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the application for a water surface use permit on Sunset Lake for the homeowners to hold water skiing events on the slalom course. Approve Advertisement for Community Development Intern Liz Hanson was hired as a Community Development Intern on May 21, 2012. Liz has recently accepted an intern position at the City of Blaine, and will continue to work afternoons at the City of Hugo on Tuesdays and Thursday until May 30, 2013. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the advertisement for a new Community Development Intern. Approve Minor Subdivision and Variance for 7131132 nd Street North The applicant is requesting approval of a minor subdivision and variance of a 19.36 acre parcel located at 7131 132nd Street North. The minor subdivision will split the 19.36 acre parcel into a 10 acre parcel and 9.36 acre parcel. The variance is for the size of the 9.36 acre parcel, where the minimum lot size is 10 acres in the Rural Residential (RR) zoning district. At its May 20, 2013 meeting, the Planning Commission considered and held a public hearing on the applicant's request. There was no one that spoke at the public hearing besides the applicant. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2013-17 APPROVING A MINOR SUBDIVISION FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7131 132ND STREET NORTH and RESOLUTION 2013-18 APPROVING A VARIANCE FROM THE LOT SIZE REQUIREMENTS IN THE RURAL RESIDENTIAL (RR) ZONING DISTRICT FOR SCOTT MONTGOMERY ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7131132ND STREET NORTH.
