Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 20, 2013 <br />Page 3 of 8 <br />Approval of Claims <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented <br />Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Rick Kieffer <br />Rick Kieffer was re -hired by the City of Hugo on May 31, 2005, returning after a short period of <br />time in the private sector. Over the past eight years, Rick has worked under the direction of <br />Public Works Director Scott Anderson. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Annual <br />Performance Review for Public Works Worker Rick Kieffer. <br />Approve Pay Request No. 9 to Municipal Builders, Inc. for Well House No. 6 <br />The City has received Pay Request No. 9 from Municipal Builders, Inc. for work on Well House <br />No. 6. Senior Engineering Technician Steve Duff and City Engineer Jay Kennedy have <br />reviewed the pay request and found it to be satisfactory for work completed to date on the <br />project. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved Pay Request No. 9 from Municipal Builders, <br />Inc. in the amount of $5,452.05 for work completed on Well No. 6. <br />Approve Application for Water Surface Use Permit for David Strub on Sunset Lake <br />On behalf of the residents on Sunset Lake, Dave Strub made application to the City of Hugo for <br />a water surface use permit for a slalom water ski course on the lake. Washington County <br />Sheriff's Department has provided the application form that has been completed by Dave Strub. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the application for a water surface use permit on <br />Sunset Lake for the homeowners to hold water skiing events on the slalom course. <br />Approve Advertisement for Community Development Intern <br />Liz Hanson was hired as a Community Development Intern on May 21, 2012. Liz has recently <br />accepted an intern position at the City of Blaine, and will continue to work afternoons at the City <br />of Hugo on Tuesdays and Thursday until May 30, 2013. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the advertisement for a new Community Development Intern. <br />Approve Minor Subdivision and Variance for 7131132 nd Street North <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a minor subdivision and variance of a 19.36 acre parcel <br />located at 7131 132nd Street North. The minor subdivision will split the 19.36 acre parcel into a <br />10 acre parcel and 9.36 acre parcel. The variance is for the size of the 9.36 acre parcel, where <br />the minimum lot size is 10 acres in the Rural Residential (RR) zoning district. At its May 20, <br />2013 meeting, the Planning Commission considered and held a public hearing on the applicant's <br />request. There was no one that spoke at the public hearing besides the applicant. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2013-17 APPROVING A MINOR SUBDIVISION <br />FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7131 132ND STREET NORTH and RESOLUTION <br />2013-18 APPROVING A VARIANCE FROM THE LOT SIZE REQUIREMENTS IN THE <br />RURAL RESIDENTIAL (RR) ZONING DISTRICT FOR SCOTT MONTGOMERY ON THE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7131132ND STREET NORTH. <br />
