The City received four quotes with the lowest quote submitted by Arnt Construction <br />for $38,360. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the quote from Amt Construction in the <br />amount of $38,360 for demolition of the home at 14701 Forest Boulevard North. <br />Approve Hiring of Brandon Niznik as Public Works Seasonal Employee <br />Each year, Council approves the hiring of seasonal employees to assist the Public Works <br />Department with the maintenance of the City's parks and building grounds. Recently, with a <br />current employee securing full time employment elsewhere, a position has become vacant. Staff <br />has interviewed applicants. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the hiring of Brandon <br />Niznik as a seasonal employee. <br />Approve Amendment to Joint Powers Agreement with Minnesota Department of Public <br />Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension <br />At its July 18, 2011 meeting, the City approve a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) with the <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) to allow the <br />City Attorney to access the BCA's Minnesota Criminal Justice Data Communication Network on <br />behalf of the City of Hugo. The BCA has contacted the City of Hugo regarding tools available <br />to further allow the City Attorney access to court data. Adoption of the Consent Agenda <br />approved the amendment to the JPA to include the Court Data Services Subscriber Amendment <br />to the CJDN Subscriber Agreement. <br />Approve Application for Assistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG) <br />Staff has prepared a grant application for an Assistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG) through <br />FEMA. This grant is for a generator to be permanently located at the Hugo Fire Department. <br />The approximate cost of the generator $150,000, and the grant requires a match of five percent <br />from the City. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the application for the Assistance to <br />Firefighter Grant. <br />Approve the Conditional Use Permit for Roger Capaul at 12173 Janero Avenue North for <br />a Accessory Building <br />Roger Capaul, 12173 Janero Avenue, has applied for a Conditional Use Permit to construct an <br />accessory building to be up to 125% of the permitted size. Staff found it meets all the <br />requirements for approval and is recommending approval of this request to the Planning <br />Commission. A public hearing was held at the Planning Commission on June 28, 2012 and the <br />Planning recommended approval of the CUP adding a condition that the screening around the <br />site must be maintained. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION 2012-19 <br />APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR ROGER CAPAUL TO ALLOW FOR <br />ACCESSORY BUILDING SQUARE FOOTAGE TO BE UP TO 125% OF THE PERMITTED <br />SIZE ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 12173 JANERO AVE N. <br />
